BALANCE
HANDSTANDS
STRAIGHT LINE | TUCK | STRADDLE
Our handstand class includes specific drills and practices for developing the strength, mobility and awareness required to hold a handstand and develop the skill further.
The handstand shapes we teach in this class are; straight line, tuck and straddle.

THE FOCUS
BALANCE | CORE | SKILL
BALANCE
Hand balancing is a skill. Our approach breaks the skill down to offer our Movers the opportunity to go upside down and (one day) master that skill.
STRENGTH
Handstands require strength. Straight arm strength and stability through the shoulders and true trunk/core control.
MOBILITY
One of the pre requisites of hand balancing is adequate upper body mobility. This will be developed in each of our classes.
-
Our Handstand classes are open to new hand balancers. However, even beginning your handstand journey does require a basic level of strength of body control. We therefore do not recommend the class to anyone who is undertrained, or would struggle to tolerate the load of their body in a vertical position.
